The basics
- What is Yaadein?
- Yaadein is a wedding photo sharing and album delivery platform built for Indian weddings. Guests scan a QR code at the venue and upload their photos and videos straight into the couple's album, with no app and no login. The photographer adds their own edited gallery to the same album, every ceremony gets its own section, and the finished album is delivered to every guest who asked for it, branded to the photographer's studio.
- Who is Yaadein for?
- The buyer is usually the wedding photographer, cameraman or planner, because they are the one printing the QR cards and delivering the photos. The couple keeps the finished album, and the guests fill it. All three use it, but only the organiser needs an account.
- What problem does it solve?
- At a 200-guest Indian wedding, the best candid moments are taken by guests and never reach anyone. They sit on phones, or get compressed into a WhatsApp group that goes quiet after four days. Meanwhile the photographer's own gallery arrives a week or two later. Yaadein collects the guest half as it happens, keeps the photographer's half in the same place, and sends the whole thing to everyone who was there.
- Do guests need to install an app or sign up?
- No. Guests scan the QR code, their camera opens, and the photo goes into the album. There is no app, no account, no login, no OTP and no selfie required to upload. Guests can optionally leave an email or phone number if they want the finished album sent to them, but that is separate from uploading.
How it is different
- How is Yaadein different from a wedding website?
- A wedding website is a page you build before the wedding to share details with guests, and often to collect RSVPs. Yaadein does not do any of that. It handles what happens during and after the wedding: collecting the photos everyone took, organising them by ceremony, and delivering the album.
- How is Yaadein different from wedding planning tools?
- Planning tools help you organise the wedding before it happens: guest lists, budgets, checklists, vendor discovery, seating. Yaadein has none of those features and is not trying to. It is about the photos and the album, not the planning.
- How is Yaadein different from photo delivery galleries like Pixieset or Kwikpic?
- Those tools distribute the photographer's own photos outward to the couple and guests, often matched by face recognition. Yaadein does that too, but its main job runs the other direction: it collects photos from the guests inward, into the photographer's branded album. That guest half is the part delivery galleries never capture.
- Why not just use a WhatsApp group or a Google Drive link?
- A WhatsApp group compresses every photo, mixes them with conversation, and goes quiet within days. A Drive link gets opened once and forgotten, and it has no structure. Yaadein keeps full-resolution files, sorts them into ceremony sections automatically, and gives the couple one private album they can still open a year later.
- What makes it suited to Indian weddings specifically?
- An Indian wedding is not one event, it is five or more across several days. In Yaadein every ceremony is a first-class thing: haldi, mehendi, sangeet, baraat and reception each get their own QR code, their own album section, their own guest list and their own delivery. Most tools treat a wedding as a single bucket of photos.
Features and limits
- What can Yaadein actually do today?
- Guest photo and video upload by QR with no app, a separate QR and section per ceremony, the photographer's edited gallery in the same album, a live photo wall for the venue screen, a private album for the couple with full-resolution downloads, moderation controls for the couple and organiser, studio branding across every guest-facing surface, delivery of the finished album to guests by email and by WhatsApp on paid weddings, and one dashboard covering every wedding you run.
- Does Yaadein have face recognition or "find my photos"?
- Not available today. The pipeline is built but it sits behind the Premium tier, which is not on sale yet. If face search is the feature you need right now, a tool built around it is the better choice.
- What does Yaadein deliberately not do?
- No RSVP collection, no digital invitations, no seating charts, no vendor directory or marketplace, no budget or checklist tools, no printed photobooks, and no printed photobooks. Yaadein is not a wedding planning platform.
- Is the album private?
- Yes. The couple's album is reached through an opaque token, and guest albums through an opaque link, neither of which can be guessed from the couple's names. None of these pages are indexed by search engines. Guests can view and download individual photos but not the whole album, and cannot see each other's identities; the couple can hide anything they do not want shown.
- Are photos ever deleted?
- Hiding a photo never deletes it from storage. Whole albums are removed only when the wedding reaches the end of its lifetime for its plan, which is the point at which the storage is actually released.
Pricing
- What does Yaadein cost?
- ₹299 per wedding on the Standard plan, paid once, plus GST at checkout. There is no subscription and no per-photo charge. Buying weddings in a pack brings the per-wedding price down. Your first wedding is free.
- What is included in the free wedding?
- The full product, not a cut-down version: unlimited guest photos and video, every ceremony, the live wall, studio branding, WhatsApp delivery and downloads, with 10 GB of storage. It differs in two things. The album stays live for 30 days instead of 1 year, and Download all is paid. Single photos and selections download as normal. One free wedding per account.
- Is there a monthly subscription?
- No. You pay per wedding, only when you actually have one. Nothing is charged in the months you are not shooting.
- How long is the album kept?
- A paid wedding is kept for 1 year from the wedding date. A free wedding is kept for 30 days. You can upgrade a free wedding to paid in place, which extends it.
